Born in upstate New York, Mr. Tony Cunningham graduated from The Hill School, Pottstown, Pa., in 1978.  After graduating from Franklin and Marshall College in 1982, Mr. Cunningham began his career in the track surfacing industry.

Mr. Cunningham was one of the early pioneers in marketing and installing synthetic tracks, learning about the “new” all weather track surfacing systems while studying under chemists at Chevron, who helped develop the original Chevron 440 and Chevron 400 polymeric products.  These new synthetic and rubber based surfaces became very popular for indoor and outdoor track installations in the 1970's and 1980's.

Mr. Cunningham initially began his professional career working for Sportec International, headquartered in Kenmore, NY.  Sportec was eventually sold to Balsam Corporation, a major manufacturer and supplier of sport surfaces, headquartered in Texas.  While working at Balsam, Tony Cunningham was introduced to Rekortan, one of the highest quality polyurethane materials used in installing synthetic tracks.  Balsam held the license to sell and install Rekortan track surfaces in the US.  Rekortan was originally manufactured in Germany.  By 1989, Mr. Cunningham had risen to the position of Vice President of Northeastern Operations for Balsam in charge of sales of the Rekortan track systems.

In 1991 Mr. Cunningham joined Southwest Recreational Industries, Inc. (SRI) as its Vice President of the Northeast Region.  He continued his association with the Rekortan product as SRI bought the licensing rights to use the product in its track surfacing installations.  Mr. Cunningham also was in charge of selling and overseeing the installation of synthetic turf (Field Turf) at major colleges and NFL stadiums in the Northeast.

In 2004 Tony Cunningham was instrumental in starting ATT Sports, Inc. and is the President and CEO of the company.  Mr. Cunningham major responsibilities include analyzing the chemical makeup and quality of polyurethane products ATT Sports uses for installation of their track systems, including the use of Rekortan, as one of this top of the line products.  Mr. Cunningham also oversees proper site work construction of the track base to ensure that the installation of the polyurethane surface is correct.

Mr. Cunningham works directly with ATT Sports clients through all phases of the track and field construction process to, as he likes to say, “Do what is right by the customer.”

Tony Cunningham resides in Moorestown, NJ with his wife and business partner, Susan.  They have two adult children.
